There are many types of solar power, such as solar power produced from the sun. In the future, it is possible that large solar panels (25+ square miles) covered with PV cells will gather solar energy in space and then beam it down to earth by microwave. Since there are no clouds in space to block out the sun, this type of energy could be the answer to our energy problems. Current Energy Contribution: 0.83% Energy Contribution in 2015: 3.1%
